Reading this may give you a bit of insight into the current financial crisis.

This video may open your eyes, too.

When you hear Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA) talk about how he’s working hard to resolve the current bailout, take a moment to ponder what his intentions actually are.

Why should the people who caused this crisis be the ones to “solve” it?

Sometimes the media releases something worth reading. Here is an example, by Tony Blankley.

An excerpt:

The major media simply has not reported on Mr. Obama’s two years at Columbia University in New York, where, among other things, he lived a mere quarter mile from former terrorist Bill Ayers— after which they both ended up as neighbors and associates in Chicago. Mr. Obama denies more than a passing relationship with Mr. Ayers. Should the media be curious? In only two weeks the media has focused on all the colleges Mrs. Palin has attended, her husband’s driving habits 20 years ago and the close criticism of Mrs. Palin’s mayoral political opponents. But in two years they haven’t bothered to see how close Mr. Obama was with the terrorist Ayers.

John McCain is not George W. Bush, as much as the Democrats would like everyone to believe. It is hard for them to grasp that George W. Bush is not running for President, obviously, because the main thrust of their campaign is against George W. Bush. They say McCain is more of the same. They say he would be Bush’s third term. They say he voted with the President 95% of the time.

The truth is, John McCain is a separate entity from George W. Bush. Bush is President, McCain is a Senator. McCain is a candidate for the presidency, Bush IS NOT.

A few tidbits of info (from factcheck.org):

McCain did vote in line with the President’s positions 95% of the time, in 2007, and it was the highest percentage since Bush took office. He also voted 90% party line. However, McCain’s support for the President’s positions has been as low as 77% (2005), and his party line vote has been as low as 67% (2001).

Obama voted with the President’s positions 40% of the time in 2007. He has also voted 96-97% of the time with the Democrat party line.

What does that say to me? It says Obama’s mantra of “change” is crap. He toes the party line. He has no interest in putting partisan politics aside to get things done. McCain, on the other hand, has teamed up with Democrats numerous times to try to accomplish things.

So much for Obama’s “change we can believe in.”

It’s been three years, and I still think I’m the luckiest guy around.

Happy anniversary, my love!

Dear Senator Obama,

We all know you were taking a shot at Governor Palin with your “lipstick on a pig” comment. Denying it makes you look like a liar and an ass. A candidate for President should have more tact and common sense. God help us.

Sincerely,
Me

As more people insult Sarah Palin’s experience, they highlight Barack Obama’s lack of it.

The more the population of Wasilla, Alaska (and the whole state) is ridiculed, the more people around the country [should] realize how arrogant, elitist, and out-of-touch the Democrats are.

Calling her a “former Mayor” instead of a Governor just makes it even more obvious that the spin is getting out of control.

Anyone who says she’s only popular because she gave a speech needs to think for a few minutes about another candidate.

I’m pretty damn tired right now. Sick too. I’ve had more than enough of people giving Barack Obama a complete pass and ripping into Sarah Palin. Obama, the golden boy, can do no wrong. He will bring atonement for all of the implied guilt of slavery and segregation and make you breakfast every morning if you vote for him.

Am I the only one who feels the condescension every time he speaks? It’s palpable. He thinks we’re all fools, and in November we’ll see how right (or wrong, though many deny even the possibility) he is.
